Given Mitratel IPO Options or Backdoor Listing

JAKARTA - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia ( Persero ) Tbk ( TLKM ) said it would take a decision on several options to determine the fate of its subsidiary, PT Dayamitra Telecommunications ( Mitratel ) that in fact move as the provider of telecom towers in the near future .

Director of Innovation & Strategic Portfolio Telkom , Indra Utoyo explained earlier there are five options that could be considered by Telkom, a merger , doing an initial public offering ( IPO ) , sale , do a backdoor listing , or not doing anything.

Of the five options , Indra revealed have been two options , namely IPOs and backdoor listings. The new decision will be taken in the third quarter of this year .

" Implementation may begin as early as 2015 , " Indra said after the AGM at the Hotel Mulia Senayan , Jakarta , Friday ( 04/04/2014 ) .

According to Indra , Mitratel will be focused on the business tower . " Previously there was some business , but we move another business to PT Telkom Infra , " he added .

He said the transfer of the portfolio is done so that performance can be optimized Mitratel , both in terms of operational and capital increase .
